CDE Programmes
C.D.E. PROGRAM DURING THE YEAR 2010-2011

       
       A continuing dental education programme is being held at SGRD dental institute , amritsar on 26th april 2011 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. the remaining three specialties that is: conservative dentistry, pedodontia and orthodontia are being covered in a full day comprehensive programme. 6 accrediated points will be awarded by punjab dental council and certificates regarding this event will be given to each participant during this programme. the brochure and all necessary details have already been sent to various IDA branches and Principals of various dental colleges in punjab state.

       The following Continued Dental Education Program was held during the year 20101-2011.

  • CDE Program was held in the Institute on 12.11.2010

Dr. Amandeep Kaur DDS, Diplomat of the American Academy of Periodontics delivered a lecture "Immediate Placement of Implants with Temporirzation : Indication and Contraindications " Approx 150 delegates participated in this Program.


During the year 2011, a Continued Dental Education Program was held in this Institute on 22.01.2011. Three Eminent Speakers namely Dr. Vimal Kalia, Ex Principal and Professor & Head, Oral & Maxillofacail Surgery, BRS Dental College, Panchkula Dr. K.B.S. Kuckreja, Ex Professor of Prosthodontics, BJS Dental College, Ludhiana And Dr. Ashish Jain, Professor & Head of Periodontology, Dr. H.S. Judge Dental College, Chandigarh presented their papers of their Specialties and more than 250 delegates throughout Punjab participated in the Continued Dental Education Program.

The following topics were discussed and debated in this program :

1.Pathologies Associated with Impacted Teeth
2.Impact of Oral Health on Heart
3.Attachment in Clinical Restorative Protocols

       This full one day Continued Dental Education Program will be credited with  6 points allotted by Punjab Dental Council to each delegate who has attended it.

  • Continued Dental Education Program is being held  on 26th  April, 2011 in the Institute in which Eminent Speakers of the Status of Director, Principal, Ex Principal are being called to deliver lectures from the Speciality of  :

1.Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
2.Orthodontics
3.Pedodontics

        It will be a full one day Continued Dental Education Program as per rules and regulations issued by Dental Council of India and Punjab Dental Council , Chandigarh and 6 points will  be credited for the delegates who so ever will attend this Program.

APRIL 2011
       A full day Continued Dental Education Program was held on 26th April, 2011 in the Institute in which Eminent Speakers of the Status of Director, Principal, Ex Principal were called to deliver lectures from the Speciality of :

  • Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
  • Orthodontics
  • Pedodontics

Eminent speakers such as Dr Ravi kapur (principal,prof. and head of department of conservative dentistry. M.M Dental college Mullana) , Dr. Harpinder singh Narula (professor emeritus , PGIMER Chandigarh ) and Dr Narendra Kumar Ahuja ( Pro Vice-chancellor,Subharti University ) delivered informative lectures in their respective specialities.
The topics covered were:-

1) Problems in root canal therapy
2) Minor and major orthodontic procedures in children and benefits of early treatment.
3) Orthodontics for u & me.

        It was a full one day Continued Dental Education Program as per rules and regulations issued by Dental Council of India and Punjab Dental Council , Chandigarh 6 points were credited for the delegates who so ever attended this Program.

OCTOBER 2011

       A full day Continued Dental Education Program was held on 22nd October, 2011 in the Institute in which Eminent Speakers were called to deliver lectures from the Speciality of :

  • Oral surgery
  • Periodontology
  • Community Dentistry

The three eminent speakers invited for the CDE were Dr Parveen Sharma (professor and head, department of oral surgery , Dav dental college Yamunanagar) , Dr Nymphea Pandit (professor and head, department of periodontology, Dav dental college Yamunanagar and Dr . Anup . N. ( professor and head , department of Community Dentistry, Jaipur Dental college)
The topics covered were:-

1) Antibiotics-Use and abuse
2) The role of periodontist in interdisciplinary dentistry.
3) COPRA-ETHICS , the tin line between.

        It was a full one day Continued Dental Education Program as per rules and regulations issued by Dental Council of India and Punjab Dental Council , Chandigarh 6 points were credited for the delegates who so ever attended this Program.

JULY 2012

       A full day Continued Dental Education Program was held on 21 July , 2012 in the Institute in which Eminent Speakers were called to deliver lectures from the Speciality of :

  • Conservative Dentistry
  • Oral pathology
  • Pedodontics

The three eminent speakers invited for the CDE were Dr Vimal Sikri ( principal ,professor and head, department of conservative dentistry ,Govt. Dental College ,Amritsar) , Dr Puneet Bajaj(professor and head ,dept of oral pathology Bhojia dental college , Baddi) and Dr Neeraj Guglani ( professor , department of pedodontics, Dav(C) Dental College, Yamuna Nagar )

1) After endodontics-when & how
2) Understanding role of genetics in cancer- a simplified approach.
3) Modern principles of caries diagnosis and management .

        It was a full one day Continued Dental Education Program as per rules and regulations issued by Dental Council of India and Punjab Dental Council , Chandigarh 6 points were credited for the delegates who so ever attended this Program.
